Frequently Asked Questions

What's included when you hire the Cake Cottage bar service?

We like to set up approximately one hour prior to your event commencement time.  This enables us adequate time to be ready to serve your guests on arrival.  We supply ice with every bar package and a refreshment station including water and home made lemonade for your guests.

Can the van be decorated?

We have kept our van white so that it looks good anywhere and can be decorated to your taste.  We have some fairy lights available for use as well as some other rustic/vintage themed props.  You are more than welcome to provide decorations for us and we can set up to suit your theme.

Who supplies the alcohol?

You provide the alcohol and we serve it. 

We have a Responsible Service of Alcohol licence for NSW and VIC, however, do not have a liquor licence. 

As we only arrive an hour prior to your event, there are two options to have your beverages nice and cool for your guests to enjoy.

1) You bring the drinks to us the week before your event and we can chill the day before in our fridge.  This service is provided for an additional $50 charge.

2) You chill the drinks yourself and have someone meet us on arrival so we can transfer to our fridge in the van.

If you chose option 2, please note that we do not take responsibility if the drinks are not cold when served.

Power requirements

We require access to either 10amp or 15amp power points.  We have two 20m extension leads that have been tagged and tested by an electrician so we do not have to be right next to a power source.

If you wish to hire us as a coffee service, we require access to 2 x power points.  If you wish to hire us as a bar service, we require access to only 1 power point.

Payment and cancellations

Please contact us to secure your event date.  A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking.  If a deposit is not provided within 7 days of booking your event, your date may be taken by other bookings.

We will send an invoice to you for payment of the booking fee.  We will forward a remaining balance invoice with payment being due 14 days prior to the event.

Once you book with us, we commit to your event and will not take other bookings for that date.  Unfortunately, this means that we have a cancellation fee and all 50% deposits are non-refundable.
